Hi friends, It is a great pleasure for me to hear your Signs of Spring stories! The weather is so warm and sunny these days, that my backyard has become quickly decorated with many yellow flowers. Can you guess what they are? First you see me in the grass dressed in yellow gay; Next I am in dainty white, then I fly away. What am I? Yes! There are hundreds of dandelions in my yard. Dandelions are one of the first flowers in Spring that give colour to our world. What do they remind you of? As for me, when I see a dandelion It reminds me of the sun. It has the same yellow colour and a round shape. Nature has been a source of medicine for centuries. Your grandmothers picked dandelions to add them into healthy meals and drinks. From root to flower, dandelion are highly nutritious plants, loaded with vitamins, minerals and fiber. Dandelion greens can be eaten cooked or raw and serve as an excellent source of vitamins A, C and K. A spiritual connection You may slow down when picking plants, try to take a moment with them, talk to them or hold them. Plants are considered the second oldest living beings on the planet. I also would like to encourage you to develop healthy eating habits by adding dandelion into your daily meals. You can add a little bit of dandelions greens into your favourite salads, or pop sickles and even smoothies! Watch this video to find out how Mrs. Natalia prepares a healthy spring smoothie with dandelions. Enjoy! 'Spring Dandelion' Smoothie Recipe from Mrs. Natalia for two glasses of smoothie you will need 2 cups of milk 1 spoon of yogurt 1 cup of dandelion leaves 1 cup of bluberries a half of banana or any fruit of your choice Pour milk and yogurt into the blender, add dandelion leaves, your choice of fruit. Can you create a bar graph for Mrs. Natalia`s cats and dogs stuffies? Is it easy to answer these questions when you see all my cats and dogs stuffies grouped in a graph?
