What do you wonder about Spring?
What are some things that you enjoy doing in Spring?
For example, I am really fond of gardening. I am interested in growing Lavender. So, my question is 'How do I plant and grow Lavender in my garden?' or 'I wonder how to grow Lavender in my garden?' I will find some books or will search internet to read about this topic. As I read and learn about how to grow Lavender I will make some notes and drawings in my journal. I may choose to journal about how to plant Lavender. I may observe Lavender every day in my garden and draw a picture of it. I may measure the stem of Lavender as it grows bigger and bigger.
As my research goes I should be able to understand how to plant and grow Lavender. At the end of my project, I will be able to share with you some tips on how to plant and grow Lavender. I will take photos of me learning about Lavender and planing these flowers in the garden.
Individual suggestions are welcomed.
Questions to think about
-What is your child interested in learning this term?
-What are some questions that child is asking you these days?
-Can we think of 1 question that we can develop into inquiry?
-What are some materials and books that are available at home?
-How can I help you to advance your child`s learning on this topic?
